York Christmas Market (a.k.a. St. Nicholas Fair)

- Other nearby attractions: walk down The Shambles - an enchanting 14th century medieval shopping street, discover trains similar to the Polar Express by visiting the National Railway Museum York, or take a day trip to Castle Howard during their fairytale 'Christmas in Neverland' winter event and explore the mythical castle grounds.
Christmas in York is truly magical indeed, as you'll be nestled within a quirky Northern city filled from top-to-toe with charming remnants of British history and culture, which makes York one of the best places to visit during winter in the UK.
